Dr. Barend Hefer is married to Estelle Hefer and have three children: two boys and a girl. He is pastor of the Reformed Protestant Church (an Afrikaans Church) in Brakpan and lecturer at the Afrikaanse Protestantse Akademie from which he graduated in 2011. He completed his post-graduate studies in Greek at the North West University of Potchefstroom. In 2020 he completed the SMTI course and is currently in the process of examination to be certified as a Biblical Counselor.
